Welcome to the Oceanpact DP CPD Program 2026
Please read this guidance before you begin your assessment or access learning materials.
Keelson's DP CPD program is based on an Assessment for Learning methodology. It will satisfy your Nautical Institute DP CPD requirement for revalidation.
It is the ONLY DP CPD program to be differentiated by role and rank. This means a Master/OIM will get harder questions than DPO and different questions than a Chief Engineer.
You will need a steady internet connection and a laptop or pc to access the testing platform, Cirrus.
Minimum final score required: 65%.
How does the program work?
1. Log in to Cirrus using a laptop or PC
Follow the instructions below to log in to Cirrus and access your dashboard
2. Take your 1st Assessment ASAP
Your first attempt sets your starting point and creates the report that guides your study.
3. Improve and complete the cycle
Review your 1st assessment report. Study the relevant materials, take your 2nd Assessment.
4. Receive your NI accredited certificate
Your certificate is issued when your 2nd Assessment score is 65% or above and shows the required improvement.
1ST ASSESSMENT
The 1st Assessment is your baseline assessment. It establishes your current level and creates the Cirrus report that guides your study plan.
The baseline shows your starting point. It should reflect your genuine current ability.

2nd ASSESSMENT
The 2nd Assessment is your follow-up assessment. It shows your progress after the baseline and confirms completion of the CPD cycle.

Review your baseline report before attempting the 2nd Assessment.

Study the linked DP CPD learning materials before attempting the 2nd Assessment.

A score of 65% or above is required, but 65% alone does not automatically complete the process.

In most cases, your 2nd Assessment must also show improvement compared with your 1st Assessment.

Four attempts are available within the 2nd Assessment. You do not have to use all four.

Each attempt will contain different questions from the same subject areas.

If your 2nd Assessment score is below 65%, or does not improve on your 1st Assessment score, you must use another attempt within the 2nd Assessment.

If your 1st Assessment score was above 85%, large increases are unlikely. You must still complete the 2nd Assessment, but you will not be penalized if your score does not rise at this level. The 2nd Assessment is still required so we can confirm completion and issue your certificate.

Your certificate will be issued within 2 working days, look out for an email from user@smartsheet.keelsonmarineassurance.com. Add this address to your contacts, download and save your certificate as soon as you receive it as the link will expire.

CIRRUS
Use the button below to access Cirrus
Your username is the email address used during enrollment.
Select “Forgot Password” in Cirrus to set your password.
In the Completed Assessments section, set Show to All. This displays every attempt you have completed.
Use Percentage Correct as your score.
Ignore Code, Grade, and Result. These are standard Cirrus dashboard fields and are not used for DP CPD certificate decisions.
Click View to open the report for that attempt.

Interpreting Your Report
Use your report to identify the learning areas where your mastery can be improved

Total score = number of questions asked

Mastery level = where more review may be needed
